LifE (Long-term Initiatives for Flood-risk Environments) is a government sponsored project that explores innovative ways to tackle flooding and climate change through the built environment.
The project addresses the need for new homes, increased risk of flooding and heightened environmental standards simultaneously by integrating three approaches holistically. It presents clear and concise guidance on how this integrated approach works, what works where, what it looks like and how much it costs. The LifE handbook is a user friendly document that helps to explain flood risk and apply zero carbon responsible development on sites in the developed world.
